Reviews and book advertisments in women’s Zwierciadło (2001–2003)Connections between the press and the book are known since the end of XVII century. Information about literature appeared in journals in different forms. In the beginning, these notices were mainly publisher advertisements and editorial reviews. Then, papers started to print episodic novels, stories, and poetry. Today, when book has to compete with other means of mass media including the Internet, the promotion of literature seems to be especially important. In this paper, two basic forms of book information are presented: reviews and editorial advertisements published in the magazine Zwierciadło between 2001 and 2003
