This session will describe research conducted to determine if student learning was increased through a podcasted lecture followed by a learner-centered approach to cardiac conduction content. A quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest comparison group design was used to evaluate student learning. Participants in this session will explore the possibility of using technology, such as podcasting, to allow for more time to engage the student in the learning process. The participants will also be able to describe the benefits and challenges of using podcasting to engage student learning from both the student and faculty perspective.
