Research in Romance linguistics in Poland at the beginning of the XXI century The article presents the scope and methodology of research of the Romance linguistics in Poland at the beginning of the XXI century. A certain review of the state and the tendencies in that research are featured in an array of articles published within this volume; and at the same time being a result of the Meeting of the Romance Linguists in Poland that took place at the end of November 2010 at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. This Meeting in a way represents a revival of the old already almost forgotten tradition of regular meetings of Polish Romance Linguists
