Visually impaired students face unique problems when engaged in mathematics. The visual, two-dimensional presentation in most college mathematics classes makes access difficult for them. Unfortunately, most mathematics instructors are not familiar with strategies to help these students. This presentation will discuss a case study in which a mathematics professor examined learning roadblocks for one visually impaired student in a learning support algebra class and adopted appropriate teaching strategies, assessment techniques and adaptive technology to facilitate the student\u27s learning. Practical challenges faced by the professor will also be discussed
