Student preference for reading information in the online classroom

The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the impact of information placement within the online classroom as well as other variables such as course design, teaching presence, and student patterns in searching for information. The findings indicated student preference is to receive information through multiple access points and sources. Students also expressed desire to have information delivered through the usage of technology such as email and text messaging. The findings of this study can help instructors understand where to place material within the online classroom to increase student viewership
