The matrix cracks of cross-ply laminated panels for the solution of natural frequencies were investigated. The natural frequencies were estimated by the assumption of cracks opened on one side and closed on the other side of the cross section. The results showed the effect of tunneling matrix cracks more on the stiffness than on natural frequencies
