Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI PHP 2 di SMK Negeri 5 Jember Tahun 2014/2015 dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Group Investigation pada pokok bahasan Bioteknologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Instrumen penelitian teridi dari tes ulangan harian untuk menilai hasil belajar kognitif, dan lembar observasi untuk menilai hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif mengalami peningkatan sebesar 28,16%, hasil belajar afektif mengalami peningkatan sebesar 29,02%, sedangkan hasil belajar psikomotor mengalami peningkatan sebesar 10,42%.
