The most commonly used remote sensing methods are used in such applications as the aquistic emmission, ground penetration radar (GPR) detection, electromagnetic induction spectroscopy, infrared imaging, thermal neutron activation, nuclear quadruple resonance, X-ray back scattering, neutron back scattering and magnetic anomaly detection.
