In that sense, its possible horizon is directly related to the tension that exists between the idea that the institution of art has about knowing (or the sciences that permeate the field of art) and what creators say and do in and out of it. outside the arts. Therefore, the theoretical and institutional definitions are interpellated by the practices that in many cases make the definitions appear to be reducing and precarious. Now, far from proposing a dualism between theory and practice -which was the basis for the modern classification of human beings as thinking, less thinking or lacking in sensitive and cognitive capacities- what I want to point out is the theoretical dimension of the practices and, consequently, the cognitive character inherent in all modalities of doing. And not only that, doing is not cognitive because it applies or replicates knowledge, it is cognitive because it is the creator of new knowledge that becomes visible in other modes of making and sensitive forms that are increasingly diverse and plural.En los estudios artísticos la concepción de conocimiento está constantemente en juego.
