The development of scientific thought do not stop. In this essay we take as a starting point the classical Greece with the contributions of Aristotle and his difficulties to give the empirical evidence a theoretical construction; thus, Plato's disciple in the renowned book Metaphysics records the basis of a science of the general. This new model of knowledge is taken in the twelfth century by the Christian West, where it is dogmatized and Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century managed to consummate a symbiosis between Aristotelian thought and Christian faith.
