Discussion of the relationship between teaching information literacy skills and teaching scholarly communication competencies is a recent development in academia. The presenters, a Librarian for Graduate Programs and a Librarian for Undergraduate Programs, will provide a brief overview of this discussion and then present examples of how academic librarians\u27 efforts to teach information literacy and scholarly communication become interrelated throughout the academic life-cycle. The presenters will illustrate the relationship between these two areas of academic librarianship through their impact on undergraduate and graduate populations, library services and instruction at the comprehensive university
