Using and Creating Open Resources in Information Literacy Instruction

Academic librarians have been teaching students, faculty, and even administration about Open Access and Open Educational Resources in the contexts of shared research, college affordability, and ethics. How can librarians use both the concept of Open and these open resources within information literacy instruction? Russell Palmer and Jeff Gallant will present on introducing students to intersections between the concept of Open and the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, using and creating open resources in the information literacy instruction classroom, and what GALILEO is doing to create, provide, and encourage the adoption of open resources throughout the state of Georgia
