In recent years, solar power has been a popular form of renewable energy. This research conducts a cost analysis in implementing a rooftop photovoltaic system as part of an energy management schema for a university campus. The proposed system would be installed on the roof of one of the largest buildings on campus at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Toomey Hall; the objective function of the research involves reducing dependence on conventional energy sources on campus.
