TRANSITION MODEL OF HIGHLY COMPETITIVE TECHNOLOGY ACQUISITION OF SMALL BUSINESS

Small business had given GDP of 6.3% and 5.3 million workers in creative industry in 2008. Based on the research by Wahyudi and Julianto (2012), it is found that small businesses in East Java still apply simple technology (non high tech), so they find it very unstable to improve their competitiveness. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the acquisition of technology often encounters obstacles because small business get problems in terms of capital, unstable market access, raw material shortages, lack of human resources in the operation and low risk taking. It is important to accelerate the acquisition of the use of technology to improve the competitiveness of small business in a sustainable manner.
