One of the purposes of the Council is to maintain a forum where problems related to the design and behavior of columns and other compression elements in metal structures can be presented for evaluation and discussion. The Annual Technical Session provides an opportunity to carry out this function. The 1976 Annual Technical Session was held on March 2 and 3 at the SheratonBiltmore Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. Fifty-five persons attended the session and nineteen papers were delivered.
