In recent years, liquefaction phenomena induced by earthquakes have attracted considerable attention and extensive research has already been performed on various aspects. Also, many constitutive relations have been proposed in order to represent the deformation behavior during cyclic loading. These models, however, have mostly been verified by comparison stress or strain control element tests, and there have not been many numerical tests applying them to the boundary value problems.
