Mass media are powerful to make reality construction to publish that is in line with their frame (point of view).Constitution Court has made a decision that cancels chapter 214 of the Constitution, Number 10/2008, by which candi- dates in the legislative general election of 2009 are elected by majority votes, and not by their numbers in rank, causing the affirmative policy for women candidates of legislative members fall invalid. As a result of the absence of affirmative policy, women candidates have to work harder to become members of the parliament. As public space, mass media are supposed to be strategic room to help women candidates campaign their struggle. Not all mass media, however, have gender sensitivity. One among few mass media that are concerned with women’s struggle is Kompas, whose column, Swara, is gender sensitive. This research is intended to find out Kompas’s construction of post Constitution Cour’t s decision news concerning the affirmative policy for women candidates and women’s struggle to become members of People’s Representa- tives/District People’s Representatives. The method of analysis used in this research is framing analysis of Zhondang Pan and Konsicki. The research result shows that Kompas is concerned with women candidates’ struggle.
