Accelerating and intensifying the socio-cultural dynamics of the 21st century, globalization and the information revolution determine the innovative nature of the development of education. No alternative as to the installation of the relevant statement.But the comprehension of the nature had the plot of the innovation processes in the world is still legging behind. The author examines the nature of innovation activity, which has a rather diverse peculiarity and multidimensional character, which is fully relevant to the specifics of educational innovations. In this aspect, it is important today to explore the relationship between the innovative needs of society in general and the innovative potential that is generated directly by education, studying and upbringing. The researcher pays a detailed attention at the conceptual and theoretical analysis of the nature of innovation activity and the specifics of educational innovation. The emphasis on modern education in its sense evaluation structure implies the presence of certain dynamics of development, change, renewal and transformation. According to this it can be argued that modern education in principle should be innovative, i.e. each its subject should strive to develop, improve itself and the environment, progress in individual, group or general social characteristics of a professional or socio-cultural plan. Innovative implementations are essentially focused on the educational process, improvement of its quality and results. At the same time, innovations in the education system can be applied to the administrative, organizational, financial, informational and technological sphere, and so on. The result will be evaluated precisely in the light of the fact that the educational process will become more qualitative, accessible and personally oriented. In our opinion, innovation in education can be considered successful only if it achieves a significant result through the combination of traditional and innovative components, which is to increase the quality and effectiveness of the educational and upbringing process, in its reorientation to humanistic, personality-oriented principles, in increasing its accessibility for as many subjects as possible.Key notions: person, education, culture, innovation, progress. Прискорення та употужнення соціокультурної динаміки ХХІ століття, глобалізація та інформаційна революція обумовлюють інноваційний характер розвитку освіти. Подібна установка утвердилась практично як безальтернативна. Однак, осмислення природи та сутності інноваційних процесів в освіті все ще запізнюється. Автор розглядає природу інноваційної діяльності, яка має доволі розгалужену специфіку та багатовимірний характер, що повністю стосується і специфіки освітніх інновацій. В цьому аспекті важливо сьогодні досліджується взаємозв’язок між інноваційними потребами соціуму загалом і тим інноваційним потенціалом, що породжується безпосередньо освітою, навчанням і вихованням. Дослідник зупиняється більш детально на концептуально-теоретичному аналізі природи інноваційної діяльності та специфіки освітніх інновацій. Акцентується увага на сучасній освіті в своїй смисло-ціннісній структурі передбачає наявність певної динаміки розвитку, змін, оновлення та трансформації. Звідси можна стверджувати, що сучасна освіта в принципі має бути інноваційною, тобто кожен її суб’єкт має прагнути до розвитку, вдосконалення себе і оточення, прогресу в індивідуальних, групових чи загальносоціальних характеристиках професійного чи соціокультурного плану. Інноваційні впровадження за своєю сутністю орієнтовані саме на навчально-виховний процес, покращення його якості і результатів. При цьому інновації в системі освіти можуть відноситися і до адміністративної, організаційної, фінансової, інформаційно-технологічної сфери тощо. Результат же буде оцінюватися саме із врахуванням того, наскільки якіснішим, доступнішим і особистісно орієнтованішим стане навчально-виховний процес. На нашу думку, інновацію в освіті можна вважати успішною тільки тоді, коли в ній завдяки поєднанню традиційних та новаторських компонентів досягається значний результат, який полягає в підвищенні якості і результативності навчально-виховного процесу, у його переорієнтації на гуманістичні, особистісно-орієнтовані принципи, в зростанні його доступності для якомога більшого кола суб’єктів навчання.Ключові поняття: людина, освіта, культура, інновації, прогрес.
