A new, economical iterative technique is suggested in this paper for the analysis of the elastic deformations of high-speed mechanism members. It provides an approximate particular solution which would be representative of the total solution for a mechanism with sufficient internal damping in its members such that the modal vibrations have died out. The eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors need not be solved for explicitly to determine the solution
