This paper outlines my experience as a participant with the Young Carer Project, a participatory action research (PAR) study through the University of Waterloo’s Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program (MAREP). This article will describe my successes and challenges during this process, and discuss future applications of PAR for health promotion activities involving young carers
