The advancement of wireless networks and distributed computing necessitates more advanced applications to be built with adaptability to their changing system services. Today, building adaptive services is a complex task due to the lack of an adequate framework support in the distributed computing environments. In this paper, we propose a metalevel component-based framework (MELC) which uses distributed computing design patterns as components to develop an adaptive pattern-oriented framework for distributed computing applications.
