This paper is an overview of a research study observing graphic design students both in graduate and undergraduate level. A significant successful result has been observed by introducing an adaptive and flexible mentoring program based on each individual student’s need, while carefully listening to the challenges they face during their academic years. This careful study and systematic observation help decipher what did and did not work. The new mentoring method has increased graphic design students’ success rate; dramatically improving it from previous years.
