The epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a central role in cancer metastasis and drug resistance-two persistent clinical challenges. Epithelial cells can undergo a partial or full EMT, attaining either a hybrid epithelial/mesenchymal (E/M) or mesenchymal phenotype, respectively.
