P(論文)There are many gift-exchange in our daily life. The final goal of this report is to make a study of gift-exchange among the Japanese young. Mauss showed that exchange in primitive societies consists not so much in economic transactions as in reciprocal gifts. Our report is based on the principle of reciprocity. The gift-exchange between the Japanese young and their superiors is not based on the reciprocity. But they give counter-gift to their friends.departmental bulletin pape
