The objective of this work was to assess the energy balance components such as net radiation and sensible, latent and soil heat fluxes by using the Surface Energy Balance Algorithm – SEBAL – through analyses of 13 Landsat 5-TM and Landsat 8-OLI images. The images were obtained from Image Processing Division (DGI) of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil, and from the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The meteorological data were obtained from the Barbalha automatic station provided by the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET), Brazil.
