Nowadays, Indonesia is implementing the recent curriculum, namely curriculum 2013. One of its components is Scientific Approach that has some steps; Observing, Questioning, Experimenting, Associating and Communicating. This research is aimed at observing the implementation of scientific approach in English class and interviewing the students’ responses. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 as the school which became the pilot project for private schools in Gresik.
