DEVELOPING INTERACTIVE LEARNING MEDIA IN SPEAKING FOR STUDENTS AT THE EIGHTH GRADE OF MTS AL-MUNIROH

The objective of this study is developing interactive learning media in speaking for students at the eighth grade of MTs Al-Muniroh. The design of this study is research and development (R&D). The procedures of the study were conducting need analysis, design, expert validation, implementation, and final product. This study involved 26 eighth grade students at MTs Al-Muniroh as the research subject. The instruments for collecting data were questionnaire and interview. The result of need analysis questionnaire was analyzed using percentage, and the result of expert validation was analyzed using descriptive statistic. The findings of this study are described as follows. (1) The student need topic in the learning materials was about short functional text (Advertisement), Narrative text, Recount text and Descriptive text. (2) The students were given some activities: individual, pair, and group activity. (3) The use of interactive learning media for the students was given in individual, pair, and group activities. (4) The installation that students choose was in laptop and PC/ Computer. The developed learning materials were appropriate based on the result of expert validation.
