This study aims to determine the Effect of Competence and Motivation on Employee Performance at the Kerinci State Islamic Institute (IAIN). The data used in this study are primary data with a sample of 49 people. The data analysis technique used is by using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that competency has a significant effect on employee performance. Motivation does not have a significant effect on Employee Performance. Competence and Motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on Employee Performance. The magnitude of the influence of Competence and Motivation on Employee Performance at Kerinci IAIN simultaneously is 21.8%
