Proper mine support in underground mines is now a days has became imperative. Ground control operation is an ‘imprecise’ area of engineering due to the fact that we are dealing with a material produced by nature (the ground). Empirical approaches to design have been widely used in these mines since long. Under these circumstances, expert judgment plays an important role.
