The paper deals with the determination of the influence of vibration generated due to opencast blasting on the stability of underground workings. Altogether, 17 blasts were performed in opencast mine and vibration were measured in underground colliery. Out of 17 blasts, 9 blasts were performed in sandstone bench and 8 blasts were in coal bench. From 17 blasts, 34 blast vibration data were recorded. Regression analyses of data were performed and a propagation equation was established which was applicable to the mine concern. By using aforesaid propagation equation maximum charge per delay was calculated for different levels of ground vibration. Threshold value of vibration was recommended for the safety of underground opening
