In 1896, brothers Eulogio and Jacinto Gonzalez were the first Cubans to attend Rollins. Eulogio attended the College and Jacinto began in the preparatory department. Their father, B. L. Gonzalez, helped Rollins bring Cubans to their school, and their sisters also attended Rollins
