Studies were made on the normal value of the serum iron in healthy school boys and girls, and on - the serum iron in children with various diseases. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The mean value of the serum iron in 18 school boys and 16 school girls were 83 r/dl and 92r/dl, but no significant difference was seen between both sexes. 2) It was observed that there was a correlation between the serum iron and the surum iron value x the red cell counts in healthy school boys and school girls, similiar to the Teramoto-reports in healthy adults.
