Appendices includedThis study details radio usage in communicating agricultural biotechnology in Africa, and provides insight into how the medium can be used to promote accurate and fair understanding of newly emerging scientific innovations. It uses case studies of two socio-culturally different communities, Burkina Faso in the Francophonie, and Kenya in Anglophone countries to examine and compare radio-use trends. It reports on how this influences knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP), and hence helps form new opinions and positions regarding agricultural biotechnology. Results of the situational analysis and KAP survey were fed back from farmers/participants to inform the content of radio programmes
