The report documents and analyzes current (2011) and past collective action and partnership initiatives with regard to building social capital for sustainable natural resources management. It identifies critical areas for further research on sustainable development and poverty alleviation for the Andes ecoregion. From two decades of collective work and the alliances formed in the Andes for sustainable development, the report contributes to construction of a programmatic agenda for CONDESAN (Consorcio para el Desarollo Sostenible de la Ecorregion Andina) and the Andes territory
