Access to knowledge at the Internet Governance Forum

The workshop looked at the global state of affairs in copyright law, and issues of access to knowledge, at the 2009 meeting of the multi-stakeholder United Nations Internet Governance Forum. This report provides a review of several presentations by participants from the U.S., Egypt, Bangalore India, and South Africa. One tool to help change the mindsets of the public regarding access to knowledge (A2K) and copyright, is the Consumers International IP (Intellectual Property) Watch List, which can help policy makers, academics and advocates compare the best and worst practices of various countries
