The tomb of Zhou Dunyi (周惇頤1017-1073), a philosopher of North Song China, is located in suburb of Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. The tomb was maintained by local gentries 郷紳 and literati thorough Late Imperial China. Especially, the maintenance by Peng Yulin彭玉麟 in 19th Century was large in scale. Its figure was investigated by Tokiwa Daijo 常盤大定, a scholar of Japan, in 20th Century, But the tomb was thoroughly destroyed during the Great Cultural Revolution. Fortunately, the tomb was restored and regained the present figure in the beginning of this century. This paper will give a detailed explanation of its history and the situation of Confucianism in modern China
