The policy advocacy programs for community forestry conducted by the Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN) have instituted positive impacts at both the national and local level. It has been demonstrated that forums associated with stakeholders’ issues based on community forestry users’ rights can play an important role in achieving positive change. However, without effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E), advocacy related activities may be counterproductive for the institution. This study pinpoints and reviews the role of FECOFUN on the M&E of advocacy initiatives carried out in relation to policy issues
