Testes com dupla chance de escolha foram realizados em Londrina, PR, em 1988 e 1989, para avaliar a preferência alimentar de Anticarsia gemmatalis Hübner, 1818 por genótipos de soja. Em três experimentos, seis linhagens, uma cultivar e três introduções resistentes a insetos foram comparadas com 'Davis', 'Bossier' ou 'Santa Rosa'. As lagartas mostraram rejeição às linhagens BR82-12547, IAC74-2832 e pelas PIs 227687, 229358 e 274454. As linhagens BR79-15149 e GoBR83-37004 foram preferidas, em comparação aos padrões, e os demais genótipos (BR80-25896, 'IAC-100' e GoBR83-60040) não diferiram dos padrões em relação à preferência das lagartas, tomando-se por base os índices de consumo.
