This is a two-page introduction and summary of work done by the African Copyright and Access to Knowledge Network (ACA2K) presented to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR). It urges the SCCR to pay attention to ACA2K country reports, which include surveys of relevant legislation, policies, secondary literature and reported case law. In addition, the ACA2K reports contain the results of qualitative analysis based on reviews of relevant secondary literature as well as on-the-ground impact assessment interviews with relevant stakeholders, particularly stakeholders from government departments, the educational community and rightsholders
