Annexure C missingThe Internet and open source technologies make it possible to conduct collaborative research across disciplines: institutions, researchers and students can share working research and publications online; and e-learning for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes can be implemented. African universities can be enabled further to participate in global knowledge production activities, with significant potential gains through increased resources for research and publication in local and international academic journals. The first section of this report describes the framework within which the study is located, while the second describes key elements of the research design
