O acamamento e a reação de cultivares de trigo recomendadas no Rio Grande do Sul

Lodging is an agronomic characteristic that can affect the yield and the quality of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain. This work presents information on the reaction to lodging shown by cultivars from the State Wheat Cultivar Trial-RS over the period 1985 to 1990. Two or three trials were evaluated per year in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, according to the method established by Petrucci, which studies the percentage of the lodged are and the degree of stem inclination. Cultivars CNT 10, Herval, PAT 7392, RS 2-Santa Maria, Trigo BR 14, Trigo BR 15, Trigo BR 23, and Trigo BR 38 showed resistance to lodging considering the average of years in which the genotype was present. The lowest lodging index was shown by cultivar Trigo BR 23, while the most susceptible cultivars were: Butuí, CEP 14-Tapes, CNT 1, CNT 8, Cotiporã, Jacuí, Mascarenhas, Minuano 82, RS 1-Fênix, Trigo BR 3, Trigo BR 4, Trigo BR 6, Trigo BR 32, and Vacaria.O acamamento é uma característica agronômica que pode afetar o rendimento e a qualidade do grão do trigo (Triticum aestivum L.). O presente trabalho apresenta informações sobre a reação ao acamamento das cultivares do Ensaio Estadual de Cultivares de Trigo-RS, no período de 1985 a 1990. No Rio Grande do Sul, foram avaliados dois ou três experimentos por ano, segundo a metodologia estabelecida por Petrucci, que estuda a percentagem da área acamada e o ângulo de inclinação dos colmos. Considerando a média dos anos em que o genótipo esteve presente no ensaio, de um total de 41 cultivares avaliadas mostraram-se resistentes ao acamamento as cultivares CNT 10, Herval, PAT 7392, RS 2-Santa Maria, Trigo BR 14, Trigo BR 15, Trigo BR 23 e Trigo BR 38. A cultivar Trigo BR 23 apresentou o menor índice de acamamento. As cultivares que se mostraram suscetíveis ou altamente suscetíveis ao acamamento foram Butuí, CEP 14-Tapes, CNT 1, CNT 8, Cotiporã, Jacuí, Mascarenhas, Minuano 82, RS 1-Fênix, Trigo BR 3, Trigo BR 4, Trigo BR 6, Trigo BR 32 e Vacaria
