Espaçamento em plantio de abacaxi

Planting spacings were studied for the pineapple production in fruit weight, at the sea level. The spacing of 1.20 m and 1.50 m between rows were found the moat approppriated for production of havier fruits. The data found out were statiscally significant at the 5% level. At the same time the spacing of the plants in the rows were found the best ones 0.40 m and 0.50 m. The production of the slips by the plants were observed In bigger number, however with the spacing from 0.40 m to 0.60 m between rows at 1% of level.O trabalho visou determinar a melhor densidade de plantio para a cultivar 'Smooth Cayenne', em solo plano, do tipo aluvial eutrófico. Delineamento estatístico em fatorial 33 com quatro repetições, tendo sido testados três espaçamentos entre ruas (0,90 m, 1,20 m e 1,50 m), três entre fileiras (0,40 m, 0,50 m e 0,60 m) e três entre plantas (0,30 m, 0,40 m e 0,50 m). Com base na análise de variância para peso do fruto, concluiu-se que as melhores opções para o plantio da cultivar 'Smooth Cayenne' para a região estudada são: 1,20 m x 0,40 m x 0,40 m para espaçamentos entre ruas e 1,50 m x 0,40 m x 0,40 m para espaçamento entre fileiras e entre plantas
