The solid waste disposal problem of the nation has become a matter of increasing concern to all of its citizens. This thesis presents in the form of an algorithm, a method for calculating the costs relating to the collection function of any present and/or proposed solid waste management systems. The algorithm defines a flexible, step-by-step system for analyzing costs so that it can be readily used by the staff of a municipality
