Serotipe virus Dengue di Provinsi Aceh

Abstract. WHO estimated 50 million dengue infections happen every year in the world. In Indonesia, there were 90,245 DHF cases on 2012 with 816 deaths. In the Province of Aceh, 2,269 cases happened in the same year. This study aimed to identify dengue virus serotype in Aceh. Sampling was done in Kota Banda Aceh Hospital, Kota Lhokseumawe Hospital, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang Hospital, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Hospital, and Kabupaten Simeulue Hospital between May to December 2012. This was a clinical laboratory research with observation design using cross sectional approach. Research’s population was sample from patients with dengue clinical symptom. Using purposive sampling technique, we have collected 100 samples from the five hospitals (20 samples from each hospital). From RT-PCR, we found 16 positive samples (9 samples were DENV-4, 3 samples were DENV-1, 2 samples were DENV-2, and 2 samples were DENV-3. Keywords: dengue virus, serotype, Aceh Abstrak. WHO memperkirakan terjadi 50 juta infeksi dengue setiap tahun di seluruh dunia. Pada 2012, kasus DBD di Indonesia mencapai 90.245 kasus dengan angka kematian sebesar 816 kasus. Di Provinsi Aceh, kasus DBD pada 2012 sebesar 2269 kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan serotipe virus dengue di Provinsi Aceh. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di RS Kota Banda Aceh, RS Kota Lhokseumawe, RS Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, RS Kabupaten Aceh Barat, dan RS Kab. Simeulue. Waktu penelitian adalah Mei 2012 sampai dengan Desember 2012. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian klinis laboratoris dengan desain studi observasi menggunakan pendekatan potong lintang. Populasi penelitian adalah sampel dari semua pasien dengan gejala klinis infeksi virus dengue yang berobat di RS. Jumlah sampel adalah 100 sampel masing-masing 20 sampel per rumah sakit. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Dari 100 sampel yang terkumpul diperoleh 16 sampel yang positif pada pemeriksaan RT-PCR, terdiri dari sembilan DENV-4, tiga sampel DENV-1, dua sampel DENV-2, dan dua sampel DENV-3.
