RPE CBNRM

The community-based natural resource management (CBNRM) program works with the local men and women most directly involved with natural resource management. Most people in Asia remain dependent on a productive natural resource base for their livelihoods. However, a widespread process of privatization of natural resources such as forests and coastal areas, where resources were once collectively managed, is underway.
