POLA KONSUMSI MIRAS DI KALANGAN ANAK DAN REMAJA GOLONGAN EKONOMI MARGINAL

Children and adolescents are vulnerable groups concerning alcohol consumption. Alcohol consumption by children and adolescents in marginal economic status area negatively influence their ownselves as well as their social environment involving criminalities. The preventive measures and education of alcoholic children and adolescents should be underlined and therefore the pattern of of alcohol consumption by children and adolescents in marginal economic status area should be further studied. The objective of the study is to determine factors that are related to the behaviour of children and adolescents in alcohol drinking. An analysis of secondary data of Riskesdas 2007/2008 and Susenas 2007 which were cross-sectionally collected was conducted retro spectively through household and individual questionnaires on subjects age between 10-23years old who drank alcohol more than once during a month before the survey. The result of the study shows that the greater part of alcohol drinkers among children and adolescents aged between 18 and 23 years old and lived in villages. They drank C group alcoholic drink (whiskey/vodka) and traditional drink which quite probably belongs to B and C groups. We also suggest the authority for a more sustainable effective control over the registration, production and distribution of B and C groups alcoholic drink.
