PEMBERDAYAAN KADER POSYANDU MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE KONSELING GIZI DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBINAAN PROGRAM KELUARGA SADAR GIZI (KADARZI)

The purposes of this action research were: 1) to increase cadre's knowledge on MKadarzi" program, 2) to mcrease cadre's knowledge how to identify family's characteristics, nutritional and health status, 3} to increase cadre's skill in order to increase establishment of family guarding to get "Kadarzi" predicate, 4). To increase cadre's skill conducting family counselling on health and nutrition problems in their working areas. This action research was conducted using training method. 13 cadres from 3 posyandus in Gedangan Primary Health Care Centre working areas. Gemurung village Sidoarjo district were selected as participants. Subject matters provided for partictpants were: basic communication, basic mass information, "Kadarzi" program, role and function of cadres to overcome family's "Kadarzi" predicate, maintaining healthy family, nutrition problem identification, early detection, and nutrition counselling. The subject matters were provided as modules with talkative, interactive communication, discussion, demonstration, case study and practice method. The participants must conduct the nutntional counselling among families in their own area. Each posyandu was provided instruments for measuring nutritional status and conducting the counselling. The result showed that: the cadre's knowledge on "kadarzi" program and identification of the familys' characteristics, the nutritional and health status of family's were increased. The average knowledge score after training was higher than before training. The differences was significant (p = 0.00, a= 0.05). Cadres skill in family's guarding to get "Kadarzi" predicate and conducting family' counselling on health, nutrition problem in their working area were increased. It was recommended to improve role of Primary Health Care Centre and non government organization in developing and empowering the capability of cadres skills in measuring, monitoring, evaluating and establishing the process of family's guarding to get "Kadarzi" predicate.
