Information and communication technologies for development (Acacia) : the case of Uganda; final report

Meeting: Cases, Concepts and Connections : the Influence of Research on Public Policy; Evaluation Workshop, 24-25 Mar. 2003, IDRC Auditorium, Ottawa, ON, CAThe Acacia Initiative: Communities and Information Society in Africa funded two ICT policy development processes and enabled the IDRC to have an immediate and significant policy influence in the ICT field. However, Acacia could have had a greater impact on the ICT policy formulation process, where issues demanded a more critical analysis of their implications for, and potential impact on women.
