The Forum created a space for participants to discuss the potential of ecosystem approaches to human health (Ecohealth), and to foster a community of practice on Ecohealth (COPEH). The Ecohealth approach focuses on understanding (i) the interactions between social and ecological systems in defining key determinants of human health in particular settings, and (ii) the impact of human activities on the sustainability of these processes. This article summarizes forum activities and presentations, along with a table of “Thematic Networking Activities of the IDRC Ecohealth Program Initiative.
