KONDISI PENCEMARAN GAS NITROGEN DIOKSIDA DI UDARA JAKARTA PADA TITIK NOL METER DAN 120 METER DARI JALAN RAYA

On the distance of 0 and 120 meters from main roads, it had been performed a survey to assess the quality of ambient air in Jakarta. Ambient air samples were collected from 21 sampling points with the distance of 0 meter and 120 meters from main roads respectively. The highest average content of N02 gas in ambient air both on 0 meter and 120 meters from the main road was in Central Jakarta. The highest difference ofN02 gas content between the two sampling points was in West Jakarta (28.27 %), and the lowest one was in North Jakarta (11.73 %). In whole areas of Jakarta, the average content of NO2 gas was 18.89 pg/cu.m (0 meter), and 15.44 pg/cu.m (120 meters), so the difference of the gas content between the two sampling points was 18.26 %. The difference of the NO2 gas content means between the two sampling sites was not significant. Controlling the gas pollution should be addressed to mobile and constant sources of the gas emission
